Indoor Exhibits

The MBHS Museum features permanent and rotating exhibits displayed in the historic Landers House. Below are our current and upcoming exhibits.

  • A replica of a rural general store circa 1940-1950. A variety of merchandise can be found such as dry goods, canned vegetables, lard tins, coffee, tea, flour, apothecary medicines, toiletries, penny candies, and tobacco products. Enjoy a game of checkers by the pot-bellied stove.

  • Newlin & Vernette Landers had a deep love for animals. Their bobcat Impy lived to the ripe old age of 20. You can even pay tribute to his grave in the garden.

  • Celebrating the Warren and the Reche families as well as other individuals who made historical lasting impressions in the Morongo Basin.

  • Here we pay special tribute to members who served in the military. Learn their stories and find out who they were.

  • Come on a cosmic journey to learn about George Van Tassel, Giant Rock Space Conventions, and the Integratron. Do you believe in UFOs?
